More my opinion, particularly if you are a train fan, in which case I can think of no better set than this.

I doubt that we will get a new Western theme (I am still bitter at Lego about the Cuusoo Modular Western Town fiasco) but I think we'll get some sort of Western-based set next year for The Lego Movie. As Christmas trees are a popular place for toys to be found, Ask Toy Tech offers a brief history and pictures of the Christmas ornament tradition. They had to stick the water tower in the back so it didn't obscure the train, which is a bummer since it's a cooler accessory than the exploding rocks.

The next section to be built is the coal tender which can open up to hide a Minifigure inside and has a few black studs on the top to represent coal. Two books - the first builds the locomotive and tender, the second builds the other two cars and the accessories. My only complaint would be a lack of much color, but it's not supposed to be a brightly colored Toy Story train.

A few interesting techniques are used, although without any moments of real inspiration, I cannot quite award full marks. You could put a train motor under the tender, but it'd take modification of the floor to work, and there's not room for a battery box in the tender. Parts: 5 - Plenty of useful dark green, some silver ingots and the golden fez component make this set very attractive from a parts perspective. I must say, the inclusion of this on a train seems like overkill to me, but nevertheless this section of the model (as well as the rest of it) looks marvellous in my opinion. All the instructions are clear and simple to follow, as long as you actually pay attention to the part box to make sure you do everything you're supposed to on each step.

But if you notice, they motorized it by just sticking a motor, battery box, and IR receiver behind the train and pushing it around the track with an ugly thing at the end.The result looks about as good as I had hoped, while the internal jail door had to be removed the functionality of blowing of the back of the car still works fine. That's definitely a new color on the ingots, and the silver rocks haven't been seen in years (assuming they are metallic silver). I'm usually not too keen on trains but this one feels like a complete playset and has a very Wide West feel to it. For the kids, it's a great train with lots of play possibility, sturdy enough to play with, and it comes with track to play on.

Most on this site would agree that this line, with a couple exceptions, is not among the best of choices to place your investment dollars. The dynamite (with a little help from the red lever on the other leg) is ready to crash the water tower across the train tracks! This is accessible by a sliding door on either side of the car and inside is a barred door into an area where a prisoner can be kept.Perhaps the only slight flaw in the design here are the lack of coupling rods on the wheels, although I do not mind this too much personally. On the other hand, the pair of grey slopes sticking out on the front make great spots to hold it down with a finger or two. Judging by the trailer, I can't help noticing that the 'Lone' Ranger isn't actually 'alone' for most of the film.
