About this deal

Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and packing 16 gigs of on-board storage, the MPC Live features numerous ways to take your beloved sample library and MPC sessions anywhere. In addition, you get 4 x CV jacks (covering 8 outputs in total) for seamless control of modular hardware. It flows so brilliantly, and in a way that beginners can become quickly and correctly educated,, as well as those with previous knowledge of the machine can have a lot of "wow" moments --- without insulting anybody's level or wasting anyone's time.

I got my MPC on the weekend and this came highly recommended by some of the folks on the Muffwiggler forum. I encourage every person who’s having difficulty to purchase this book and snuggle up under these hundreds of pages of time saving info!Akai ’s MPC Live II is a refined and improved version of the original Live, which raised the bar for truly portable production workstations. This means losing all the soft synth automation and having to rebuild any effect chains that you weren’t pleased with already, most likely including all reverbs. Eight freely configurable CV/Gate outputs allow the connection between the MPC Live II and a modular system.

My workflow is to create songs ideas and structure on the MPC then transfer the project to the MPC software and Audio/Midi in Ableton.

Generally, these cookies are only created based on actions you take in response to a service request, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling out forms. Just purchased the Bible - WOW amazing I am already learning things about the MPC Live 2 I never knew! No seamless transition from sketching to mixing - at some point, the audio export is inevitable and you need to then commit to printed stems in the daw to finish the mix.

Thanks to MIDI Multi capability, the MPC Live II can command all of your external MIDI gear, including class-compliant USB keyboards, MIDI interfaces, and USB-to-CV modules. Transferring your project to the plug‑in gives you the individual elements in their native form (and still tweakable from the hard-ware), routable to individual tracks in your DAW. There are a lot of significant improvements here, with some workflow unblockers that disarm gripes from our recent MPC One review. Retaining its predecessor’s stylish looks and robust build-quality, the Live II expands upon it with an even smoother workflow, additional controls on the front panel, lighter form factor, CV connections and a punchy built-in stereo speaker - the Akai Live II is a more than worthy successor to its first iteration. Now the MPC replaces all this and with the built-in battery, it only takes a minute to plug the audio cable and controller keyboard and voila! All depends if Maschine+ will still feel abandoned and if a Live 2+ will come out… so I’ll gove it a try.
