About this deal

There’s a problem with this though. Look at the picture and you see all the other components are plastic 🤔. You know that tells me the only purpose is to reduce leaks. You can’t connect a high quality brass to a cheaper plastic fitting and call the product higher quality surely? There’s definitely some contradiction going on there – please feel free to message in if there’s any logic behind that (@manufacturer). For example, the spray that is produced from the lance is powerful enough without being overly pressurised, and the adjustable nozzle can be twisted to produce a range of different spray patterns – whether you want to mist the humidity-loving plants in your garden, or apply cleaning solution to your patio. Therefore, in terms of primary functions, this garden sprayer is very effective. This 5 litre garden pressure sprayer from makers Solo has been designed with a 3 bar operating pressure to keep you spraying for longer between pumping stops.
The 270 cubic cm pump has a strong handle and a smooth action and doesn’t take long to get to full pressure. Once fully pressurized, the sprayer will be able to operate until the 5 litre tank is almost empty. There is a space on the handle to securely store the spray wand when you are not using it It’s essential that your garden sprayer is made from a durable material that won’t corrode when exposed to harsh chemicals.

Make a note of the lance length from the product description and measure this against yourself. If you have to bend so that this measurement reaches from the floor to your hand, you may find that the lance of the manual pressure sprayer will not be long enough for you. A 2 litre garden sprayer is a good size for lighter gardening tasks such as spraying the underside of leaves or for use indoors. Their smaller size and weight means that they can be used in one hand and can be stored under the sink or anywhere else for that matter. This compact sprayer from Ansio does everything the larger models do. You can still use it to water, fertilize, spray pesticides, and fungicides. It still works on a pressure system that you need to pump up before use, and it still has an adjustable spray nozzle and pressure release valve, just like the others. Whether using a hose, lawnmower or pressure sprayer, having to keep the ‘on’ lever held down for extended periods is no joke – hand fatigue doesn’t take long to set in. In terms of task-completion time, you may find it more effective (and safer!) to have a smaller garden sprayer that you can move around with more easily, rather than a larger one. Adjustable Straps and a Comfortable DesignThis is a good quality garden sprayer, made in Germany and has Viton seals, ensuring a leak free gardening experience.
This garden sprayer’s dimensions are 19 x 19 x 50 cm and it weighs 1.5 Kg. There is a shoulder strap included to help handle the weight. You can choose between an output of either 1.5 bars or 3 bars by turning a valve. This is especially useful for spraying with different products. For example, when using 1.5 bars the droplets are bigger, which is better for spraying herbicides as the droplets don’t catch in the wind and get on other plants. Using the 3-bars setting creates finer droplets, ideal for pesticides (or general light-misting jobs).

Versatility and mobility are two words that come to mind when I think of garden sprayers – you heard me mention in the intro how I prefer a garden sprayer over an electric sprayer:
they are versatile because they are able to help you distribute water, fertiliser, fungicides, pesticides, wood preservers, stains, teak oil, and paint, onto the parts of the garden that need them most with minimal waste. I even used my garden sprayer to seal in the tiles in my bathroom I just renovated – you could easily do the same with a patio sealer and brush for ease too. No matter the quality of your pressure sprayer, it won’t last as long if you don’t wash it out well between uses. If you’re using any chemicals, such as weed killers, make sure that none of the solution is left in the tank after use – it could corrode the plastic over time. The two models can look relatively similar at first glance, but knowing the difference – and therefore knowing which one to choose – will make it easier to complete certain jobs. Piston Sprayer

My Top Recommended Knapsack Sprayers

To prevent premature damage by the user, the pump piston has been given a well lubricated o-ring, and this also helps keep the pumping action smooth and easy. There is also a pressure release valve to stop you accidentally over pumping and damaging the sprayer.

The spray lance should have an adjustable cone nozzle so that you can choose a different spray pattern depending on the job you’re doing. At the very least, you’ll want a jet option and a spray option.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Adjustable shoulder straps are crucial for comfort when it comes to comfort. For smaller garden sprayers, (1 – 7 L) one strap should be sufficient. One strap will keep your hands free whilst being enough to comfortably support smaller sprayer. Weighing under 1 kg when empty, it doesn’t exceed 6 kg even when filled with water. If you’re concerned about carrying heavier weights, or just want something that’s less effort, this is an option that’s suitable for the majority of gardeners. In a piston pump pressure sprayer, there is a tube connected to the bottom of the main tank. Within this tube, a piston goes up and down to create pressure. Some piston sprayers are capable of delivering around 60 psi pressure. High pressure is useful for applying liquid fertilisers and spray herbicides because the droplet size will be smaller and therefore spread more evenly. Diaphragm Sprayer

An adjustable shoulder strap has been included to aid you in carrying the weight of the tank around your garden and allowing you to have two hands free. With just a 5 L capacity, it’s one of the smaller garden sprayers here, and may not be the best sprayer for large spaces; however, its small size does help to keep the weight down. Here are, what we consider, the seven best garden sprayers reviewed for you. We’ve chosen products that we think give you the best value for money, and that are affordable for everyone. Pressure release valve Choosing the right capacity ultimately comes down to how large the area you want to treat is, and how much weight you can comfortably support.Of course, this ‘continuous use’ is limited to how long it takes before the tank needs refilling, but generally you can get at least 20 minutes from the 7 L container – this would certainly feel like a lifetime if you had to hold the lever down the whole time. The fine spray from a piston sprayer will probably be more appropriate when applying liquid fertilisers etc. in a standard garden. Material and Durability Some of the more premium sprayers come with a choice of nozzles. If you want a particularly versatile sprayer, different nozzles are worth looking out for. These can help angle the jet for specific jobs like cleaning under car arches. However, the most important thing is to ensure the sprayer has at least an adjustable wand head to adjust the concentration of the water. As you can see it doesn’t take much getting used to and very easy to use – but remember not to spray weeds with a mist too fine in windy conditions as a herbicide in the lungs is not good! So always aim on the cautious side, and with Creocote I don’t care how rough it looks, I let it spurt out – there’s no way I am ingesting those fumes again. I felt really rough even though I wore a mask. So now I let it squirt out and run. No problem with that. I do not set the nozzle fine: The difference is, this 2L garden sprayer doesn’t have a long hose or spray lance so it is best suited for smaller spraying jobs. It also doesn’t produce as much pressure as larger models, but that is a good thing if you are spraying indoors as it gives you more control and you won’t accidentally damage your plants and flowers.
As we said, this is a lightweight garden sprayer that can be comfortable held and used in one hand. The large ergonomic handle and thumb trigger give you a good grip and operating position that feels natural.
The plastics used in this tool’s construction are high quality and it comes with a 2 year warranty.
