About this deal

When you apply the ointment to the skin, or use it instead of soap, these oils stay on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface. Also contains: purified water, emulsifying wax (containing cetostearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate), chlorocresol 0. If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using Hydromol ointment and inform your doctor or pharmacist . If you have been prescribed Hydromol Ointment by a doctor or nurse follow his/her instructions on use. I was given a small sample of Hydromol by my Dermatologist 3 years ago, and have been using it ever since.

It is also important to read the label and follow the instructions for use provided with the product. NMF is made up of components, such as urea and sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate (Sodium PCA), that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. Hydromol Ointment is not associated with and known side effects, but do not use Hydromol Ointment if you are known to be sensitive to any of its ingredients. If you experience any skin irritation or any other ill effects with Hydromol Ointment, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately and ask if you should continue with your medication. The NICE British National Formulary (BNF) site is only available to users in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you use Hydromol Ointment if your skin is badly cracked, infected or bleeding. Most commonly it affects the face, neck, and the insides of the elbows, knees, and ankles but can occur anywhere in the body and manifests itself through itchy and dry skin, sometimes inflamed and red. Hydromol cream is light and gentle to the touch and seals moisture in, helping to smooth and soften the surface of the skin, and sooth and calm itching.

To keep the skin well hydrated, leave-on emollients should be applied in adequate amounts to sufficiently cover dry and inflamed areas. There are ways to treat it and recommended to speak to a dermatologist to properly diagnose and discuss suitable treatments. People hypersensitive to any of the ingredients may experience skin reactions, such as burning, itching, rash or redness of the skin. However, some people may experience mild side effects when using an emollient, such as a feeling of warmth or stinging on the skin. Always take special care when using emollients after bathing; this may present an increased risk of slipping and falling. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you use Hydromol Cream if your skin is badly cracked, infected or bleeding.
