A full head of hair takes 3-4 weeks to grow, and "greying and balding" will occur after about 6 weeks. After a good soaking, sit Mr Grasshead in his pot, feed him with water and he will grow a wonderful head of grassy hair you can even trim with scissors! Use fabric scraps or permanent marker to decorate the face, and coloured paper to make the yoghurt container into a dress or a suit or whatever you like - get creative! When you're ready to grow your head, give it a good dunking in a bowl of water to moisten the sawdust/soil.

I bought a small "lawn repair kit" which has seeds pre-mixed with slow release fertiliser, but you can use whatever seeds you've got handy. It can of course be adapted for Foundation years and older kids (elementary classes etc), but hopefully, will provide you with an easy to download lesson plan and activity sheet to use in both the classroom – be it in traditional school or a homeschool environment!
