In terms of push fit caps, our range is made up of screw caps and covers available in various materials such as LDPE, HDPE, nylon and polypropylene. For the type of plastic used for Snap-Caps, these changes to the behaviour of the plastic are most noticable when the plastic is below 15°C. The cap is then "snapped" over the washer, mating by means of an interlocking peripheral groove and flange. These push-fit screw caps fit securely into the top of the screws, covering the screw head neatly and protecting it from dust and dirt ingress.
Because Snap-Caps are designed and moulded to very fine tolerances, the caps cannot be pushed on "flat".
